WHAT IS COLLOIDAL SILVER?
Colloidal silver is a broad term for a solution that can contain various concentrations of ionic silver compounds, silver colloids, or silver compounds bound to proteins in water.
Colloidal silvers have been around for hundreds if not thousands of years and have been used by many ancient civilizations as a means to maintain health. Before the mainstream discovery and acceptance of antibiotics in the early 1900's, silver products were used by doctors. These earlier versions of silver products are not to be discounted because they indeed provided countless favorable benefits to those who used them to improve their health. Ionic Silver is one of the most common forms of silver liquid found in the supplement industry today. Many are made by diluting chemical forms of silver, like silver nitrate, to a desired parts per million (ppm), which is then bottled and sold to the public.
Although ionic silver products have the smallest particle size (which they usually tout), they are often the least stable and can easily fall out of solution. Additionally, ionic forms of silver only have one mode of action. Once each silver ion steals its missing electron, it becomes neutral and is no longer useful in the body.

AG404 MOLECULE
A thin multivalent silver oxide coating, built of numerous of Ag404 molecules, surrounds the metallic nano sized silver core.

SAFETY

ARGYRIA
One of the other main concerns individuals have had with silver products is a rare skin condition known as argyria, otherwise known as the blue man syndrome. Put simply, argyria is a result of there being so much chemical or ionic silver in the body at one time that the body cannot dispose of it fast enough through its normal excretion systems. In order to get rid of this excess silver, the body walls it off in the cells. This causes a grayish blue discoloration. Although this condition is medically benign and cosmetic only, in most cases the discoloration is permanent.
Understanding the obvious fears individuals may have with acquiring argyria, we hope to settle your concerns with simple, clear and proven facts.
To start, we'll begin with research gathered from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). According to the EPA (who is in charge of defining safe levels of any mineral in water which is used for ingestion, drinking, or disinfecting), the oral consumption of small amounts of silver in water on a daily basis poses no significant degree of risk. According to historical information published on silver, unless an individual were consistently consuming (every day for over a year) over 50 times the recommended daily dosage of a 10-30 ppm product, there would be no possibility of that individual contracting argyria. On the contrary, those people who consume hundreds or even thousands of times the recommended daily dosages do run a risk of developing this condition overtime.
A peer-reviewed report from Pennsylvania State University was released after years of studying a number of colloidal silver and silver aquasol or nano products purchased from the U.S. market. The paper was authored by Professor Rustum Roy, along with seven other professors and scientists from leading universities. In the report cited below, on the subject of ionic vs. metallic silver for human use, Dr. Roy states (page 2, fourth paragraph): "In spite of this enormous range of data, it is extraordinary that no major effort has been made to confirm and expand on the role of metallic silver in human health—especially in light of its huge advantage in lack of side effects". (Ingestion of excessive amounts of ionic (soluble) silver, not metallic solid particles is reported to have resulted in a very rare condition labeled argyria, an (irreversible?) darkening of the skin. No one has died of this condition. The safety of metallic SilverSol® is firmly established by the data cited above).

These safety studies have shown that the metallic nano-silver particles in SilverSol are all flushed out of the body within approximately 24 hours. With things like vacation days and promotions, the common saying, 'more is better' is something we all love to hear! When referring to silver products, this is actually something to be avoided. You see, there are numerous colloidal silver products available on the market today and almost all of them very drastically in the amount of silver per serving.
HOW IS SILVER MEASURED
It is common to measure silver concentration using parts per million (ppm), which basically means so many parts of silver per million parts of water (or whatever liquid is being used). Most silver products on the market range in the 50 to 100 ppm silver concentrations with some even as high as 5,000 ppm. Our products on the other hand, range from 10 to 30 ppm.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR YOU?
We wanted to bring this to your attention because of the fact that consumers typically like to see that they are getting the best bang for their buck! It is easy to think that a higher concentrated product (100 ppm vs 10 ppm) is better because you're getting 10 times the amount of silver than you would with the lower concentrated product. Although the mathematical side of the equation holds true, the difference lies in the structure of the silver particle and its mode or modes of action.
Take for instance the difference between consumer electronics like cell phones and computers today and these same products ten years ago. Not only are they more technologically advanced but they are sizably smaller than their older counterparts: vintage "brick" phone, need I say more. Is there supposed to be a taste to Liquid Nano Silver Supplements?
There should be a very slight metallic taste to liquid Nano Silver products. Please note that the slight metallic taste can vary from person to person.
Are Nano Silver products gluten free and vegetarian?
YES, of course. There are no ingredients in any of Nano Silver products that contain gluten or animal byproducts.
How am I supposed to take or use Nano Silver Products?
All Nano Silver liquid products are designed to be consumed orally on a daily basis to help support the immune system. It has also been asked if it should be taken on an empty stomach or with food. On an empty stomach is ideal, but overall it really doesn't make too much of a difference.
The Armor Gel Silver Gel can be used as often as you like and on any part of the skin to help promote natural healing. It is ideal for soothing, rejuvenating, and making the skin feel incredibly soft.
Can I take Nano Silver products in conjunction with other products?
ABL has not had any reported negative interactions with their products being used in conjunction with other products, even with having sold more than ten million units. Is your product effective against ________?
Because of current regulations, ABL is unable to make any specific claims relating to our products being used on a named illness or condition.
Should I mix or dilute the Silver Supplement prior to consumption?
SilverSol Technology® Solution is designed to be consumed as is. No dilution or mixing with water or another solution is necessary.
Can children or the elderly use Nano Silver products?
ABL has never received any information indicating that their products should not be used by young children or the elderly, but if you have any questions or concerns with this, please consult your healthcare provider.
Can pregnant or nursing mothers use your products?
Congratulations on your little one(s). Although ABL never received any information indicating that our products should not be used by pregnant or nursing mothers, the only thing ABL is legally allowed to say is consult with your healthcare provider before using any supplements during pregnancy or while nursing.
When is it best to take liquid Nano Silver products?
Liquid Nano Silver products are designed to be taken as a daily immune support product. ABL has also been asked if their products should be taken on an empty stomach or with food. On an empty stomach is ideal, but overall it really doesn't make too much of a difference. Additionally, some people take the product once a day in the morning, whereas others choose to break up their daily dose between morning and night so that the silver is always in the body working for them (in test work, ABL found that silver hits its peak in the blood stream in about two hours after ingestion and is then eliminated from the body within 24 hours).
How does ABL control the safety and quality of the products?
All ABL products are manufactured under strict regulations issued by the various government agencies for supplement and cosmetic products. Additionally, our manufacturing facilities adhere to the rules and regulations of current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP).
Why does ABL package the products in plastic instead of glass like other silver products?
Originally, when ABL started selling their products, ABL packaged them in glass bottles because they were told by others in the industry that silver needed to be stored in glass.They noticed through our quality control testing, that over long periods of time the PPM level of their products was sometimes being negatively affected by the glass containers. ABL had a university do some studies to find out which type of container worked best with ABL products. The university found that the glass containers could affect silver particles over time, pulling some of them out of water. Their testing also showed that PETE plastic containers did not affect ABL products at all. Since then, ABL has packaged their products in a quality, PETE food grade, BPA free plastic. This kind of plastic does not leach chemicals into our products. This ensures that ABL is providing their customers with a pure and consistent product, and that it is of the same quality every time they use it.
